Design Books

Last week, I picked up a couple of books that have been on my list of books to buy:
Islamic Design - A Genius For Geometry by Daud Sutton and Design Sponge at Home by Grace Bonney.

Geometric patterns at it's finest. Sutton provides details on the structure and meaning of Islamic patterns and even describes how to draw them. He gives readers insight into this great Islamic artistic tradition.

"Throughout their long history and craft traditions of the Islamic world evolved a multitude of styles applied to a great variety of media, but always with unifying harmonious factors that make them instantly recognizable." Daud Sutton.

Creative rooms, finishes and texture fill the pages of Design Sponge.

This book even contains details on numerous DIY projects and amazing before and after shots.
